On the main road from the town centre going north to the bridge on the left you will find the cemetery - a gift from the Thai people for all those souls lost during the building of the death railway.

With rows and rows of well maintained gardens and name plaques, it is well worth the stroll around.

Armed forces celebrated include the Australia, New Zealand, Indian, Burmese, Dutch and the English.

Depending on where you are in Bkk you neeed 3-4hours one way by public trtopsoraatinn as you have to go to Ekkamai Bus Station first and wait for the next AC bus to leave for which is usually every 30 minutes. One way fare skytrain and bus is around 140 THB. If you get a taxi from the place where you stay at 1500 2000 THB it should take you not more than 2,5hours.Anyway is really a place to enjoy and explore so spend at least one night and travel very relaxed
