Visiting this zoo on a morning or afternoon is a great way to get away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok.

The zoo, which is a 19-hectare park, was originally a private botanical garden for the late King Rama V.

Within the expansive grounds you will find main exhibits such as the pheasant and peacock aviary, the reptile house, the monkey zone, the children's zoo, the nocturnal house and the zoo museum. There are also multiple bird aviaries housing a myriad of avian species.

The exhibits are situated around a lake and there is multiple restaurants lakeside.

The zoo is open daily.
